Dave Grohl

      Dave Grohl and co have been announced as the first headliner for the Irish festival next year.
     The Foo Fighters began work on their seventh studio album in August of this year.
"I want to play the album at night, live in front of people. It's a festival album because it f**king rocks!" Said front man, Dave Grohl in a recent interview.
  With the album release date expected to be in late spring, early summer next year, Oxygen will be the Irish fans first chance to hear the new material live.
Oxygen Festival is expected to take place at its usual site of Punchestown Racecourse, Naas, but there is a possibility that the location will be changed.
Early bird tickets will go on-sale this Wednesday at reduced prices and will be available until the      31st December. A €100 deposit will secure one of these tickets and the remainder of the ticket price can be paid in two further instalments.
     The festival will take place between Thursday 7th- Sunday 10th of July. Tickets will go on general release in March 2011 and will be priced at €199.50 for three days with no camping, €224.50 for three days with camping and €244.50 for four days with camping.
